Crudo Labs is a bioengineered-melanin company. We produce high-purity BioMelanin at industrial scale and build our own products on top of it across coatings, energy, optics, skincare, and neuroscience. Melanin already does the hard work in nature: shielding from UV and radiation, scavenging free radicals, conducting charge, holding pigment. We make that one material pure, consistent, and ours. The result is a single proprietary platform that powers products most companies would need a different chemistry for.

Nature-identical purity
We produce eumelanin to 99.22% purity by LCMS, batch after batch, at lot-level consistency. That consistency is what lets us build real products on top of it, not a variable extract we'd have to engineer around.

Coatings & surfaces
BioMelanin gives our coatings UV resistance, radical scavenging, and durable color from one material. Our broadest near-term product opportunity, in a protective-coatings market projected to reach $66 B by 2034.
Anti-aging
As a potent natural antioxidant, BioMelanin targets the oxidative stress behind skin aging. A high-margin product line for Crudo in an anti-aging-ingredients market projected to reach $2.8 B by 2034.
Sun protection
Melanin is nature's own sunscreen. Our BioMelanin sun care delivers broad-spectrum UV defense without the synthetic filters consumers increasingly avoid — in a sun-care market projected to reach $26 B by 2034.
Satellite lens protection
In orbit, BioMelanin's radiation-shielding properties protect optical lenses from degradation where replacement is impossible. A defensible product for space hardware, in a space radiation-shielding market projected to reach $4.8 B by 2034 (14% CAGR).
Solar panels
Melanin's natural semiconduction and light-absorption make it a candidate material for next-generation, bio-based photovoltaics. Our fastest-growing opportunity: a solar-panel-coatings market projected to reach $30.8 B by 2034 (26.6% CAGR).
Parkinson's program
Our most ambitious program. Parkinson's is marked by the loss of neuromelanin-rich dopaminergic neurons, the very pigment we engineer. Restoring and studying that biology is a long-horizon moonshot, and the reason Crudo exists.
